Maxine has developed training programmes and delivered training to a wide range of audiences within mental health, social services, education and the legal profession.  Training for foster carers and adoptive parents has also been developed using up to date psychological theory and practice to underpin the information.  


Training can be developed specially for a particular audience.  Sessions can be delivered for periods of 1 hour to full days.  Training material involves engaging, interactive activities to improve reflection,  as well as imparting new information within a subject area.

  • Psychological understanding of Child Sexual Exploitation and its impact and consequences.
  • Parenting with PACE (Dan Hughes) for foster carers and adoptive parents
  • Using PACE (Dan Hughes) in a supporting role within fostering and adoption (for professionals)
  • The impact of maltreatment in babies
  • Understanding Attachment Behaviour and Child Development.
  • The Effects of Trauma on Children.
  • Working with children who have experienced sexual abuse

Consultation

You can request a ‘one-off’ appointment or a set of appointments to ask advice and consider what other sources of support might be helpful.

Supervision

Psychologists and other professionals can ask for supervision either about a specific issue or as part of an ongoing process, ensuring that working practice is good.
